Raleigh Bicycles

Here at Almanzo we're big fans of the motto, 'run what ya brung' and in no way would we ever encourage anything else. That said though, if you're in the market for a new rig (especially one that crushes the rock) be sure and check these guys out. We've been riding the RXC since late last Fall and absolutely love it. Quick, stiff and responsive, this thing handles like a dream. Whether it's steel, aluminum or carbon that gets you out of bed, Raleigh has something that will to fit your needs. Maybe it's the RXC or the Roper? Maybe your a high style kind of person and it's the International or the Militis? Don't believe us? Go and test ride one today and see for yourself.

A second sample post to see how everything will look and to see how far the body of text will move over toward the photo. I think it's working rather well, I'm just not certain as to the final layout.

2011 Gentlemen's Ride

Posted by Chris Skogen On 11:15 AM
Registration for the 2011 Gentlemen's Ride is open and will be done by postcard. The race is set for Saturday, September 24th. Each team of four riders must have in it's ranks at least one rider from the 2011 Almanzo 100. The event will be timed in a fashion that will make each team as fast as it's slowest rider (short story: work together and it'll go pretty smooth).

Postcards will need to be post-marked by the 13th of August.

Please mail cards to:

I'm currently considering calling an audible on the start/finish, but I have yet to make up my mind for this particular event. Please stay tuned for more info.

  1. jnorton Said,

One rider must have finished, not just started, correct? (Not just made a valiant, albeit futile, effort...?)

    Hope all's well, Chris.

  2. Scott Hippen Said,

I'm looking to fill a vacancy or perhaps form a team. I'm an Almanzo finisher, in just over seven hours.

  3. Andrew Karre Said,

Looking for a team. I've done two Hundos, including the 2011. I'm flexible on time. 6 hours or slower.
