Raleigh Bicycles

Here at Almanzo we're big fans of the motto, 'run what ya brung' and in no way would we ever encourage anything else. That said though, if you're in the market for a new rig (especially one that crushes the rock) be sure and check these guys out. We've been riding the RXC since late last Fall and absolutely love it. Quick, stiff and responsive, this thing handles like a dream. Whether it's steel, aluminum or carbon that gets you out of bed, Raleigh has something that will to fit your needs. Maybe it's the RXC or the Roper? Maybe your a high style kind of person and it's the International or the Militis? Don't believe us? Go and test ride one today and see for yourself.

A second sample post to see how everything will look and to see how far the body of text will move over toward the photo. I think it's working rather well, I'm just not certain as to the final layout.

Argyle anyone?

Posted by Chris Skogen On 2:38 PM
We've never actually tasted the tears of a WWII widow, but we imagine their flavor to be a warmer relative to the beer that made the Minnesota Brewing Company famous. Discovered in 1893 and remodeled in the late 1940's, Grain Belt Premium has always been a go to drink for the working class of Minnesota and Wisconsin...so we figured we'd give it a fair try under the microscope.

Priced close to a solid dollar per pint, the recently released argyle clad "friendly beer" looks great in the fridge and even better in the hand, but sadly it misses on nearly every typical palate point.

A true storied veteran of Minnesota's brewing history, Grain Belt is certainly a name worth mentioning and with it's new look it would make a great addition to the pages of a tell-all coffee table book. All looks aside though, the flavor of this one isn't going to allow it any consideration as a selection in our go-to choice for Autumn drinking.

Frankly, if we drank beer based on how the package looked we'd definitely recommend Grain Belt Premium, but unfortunately we usually like to base our purchases on things a little deeper than skin color. That said, Grain Belt Premium is a good as it's ever been and probably as good as it will ever get. So it goes...we'll keep looking(drinking).
