Raleigh Bicycles

Here at Almanzo we're big fans of the motto, 'run what ya brung' and in no way would we ever encourage anything else. That said though, if you're in the market for a new rig (especially one that crushes the rock) be sure and check these guys out. We've been riding the RXC since late last Fall and absolutely love it. Quick, stiff and responsive, this thing handles like a dream. Whether it's steel, aluminum or carbon that gets you out of bed, Raleigh has something that will to fit your needs. Maybe it's the RXC or the Roper? Maybe your a high style kind of person and it's the International or the Militis? Don't believe us? Go and test ride one today and see for yourself.

A second sample post to see how everything will look and to see how far the body of text will move over toward the photo. I think it's working rather well, I'm just not certain as to the final layout.

Rochester, via Duluth

Posted by Chris Skogen On 2:03 PM
In April, earlier this year, we rode from Rochester to the side of a hill outside of Red Wing with salami and crackers for weary riders. In June we made a similar trip toward the West Metro to race something called the Westside Dirty Benjamin. As we're making every attempt to stay cool in the heat this summer, we've decided to keep the ball rolling and get back on the bike this fall. At the end of September we will leave Rochester early on the morning of the 29th and roll our way to Duluth for the Heck of the North. We know it's kind of far (about 280 miles), but it isn't really about distance...it's about adventure.

If you're interested in coming along, the current plan is to ride as far as we can on the gravel roads that separate us from the shores of Gitchee Gumee, camp and then get up and continue to the lake. We'll race on Saturday the 1st of October and then turn it around and come back the same way we went.

We did the ride in July of 2010 and know the roads exist, so it's just a matter of packing the right jacket and we'll be all set. Come one, come all...let's do this.
