Raleigh Bicycles

Here at Almanzo we're big fans of the motto, 'run what ya brung' and in no way would we ever encourage anything else. That said though, if you're in the market for a new rig (especially one that crushes the rock) be sure and check these guys out. We've been riding the RXC since late last Fall and absolutely love it. Quick, stiff and responsive, this thing handles like a dream. Whether it's steel, aluminum or carbon that gets you out of bed, Raleigh has something that will to fit your needs. Maybe it's the RXC or the Roper? Maybe your a high style kind of person and it's the International or the Militis? Don't believe us? Go and test ride one today and see for yourself.

A second sample post to see how everything will look and to see how far the body of text will move over toward the photo. I think it's working rather well, I'm just not certain as to the final layout.

2012 Jersey: Work in Progress

Posted by Chris Skogen On 10:20 AM
Just for the sake of remembering our Minnesota heritage (read: Paul Bunyan and his bitchin' Blue Ox, Babe), we worked this up this morning. Any thoughts?

We're working on ideas for the 2012 jersey. We've included a mock-up of our most recent idea. Let us know what you think...after all, this is Gravel Country...

  1. Chris Larkin Said,

LOVE it. No question. I will order the moment it becomes available.

  2. I like everything but the "gravel country" part. I would prefer the map of MN with a silhouette of a road/tree inside of it? Say it with the image.

  3. Josh Said,

dig, I could also do without the gravel country, and just keep the logo

  4. true- maybe just having the "A" within the state is enough

I'd love bibs in the same color with that checker pattern in the same design as the current ones too.

  5. I like the "Gravel Country" bit. It's unique. The map outline is great, too. I mostly like that it's not based on black. All my damn jerseys are black.

  6. Fonk Said,

Design's cool, but I'd stick w/ the classic black of jerseys past (so new design, but black in color). My two cents, if it's worth that much...

  7. Tom McBeain Said,

I like the new design but I think it would be cool to add some black. Having the arms being black and white checker would be pretty cool. I really liked last years design in fact I am wearing the jacket right now. My first impression was that I did not like the Minnesota outline. I would like to see the logo that was used on the front of the 2011 jacket used only have it black, red and white. I know you will ultimately come up with an awesome design. I would say that you have your work cut out for you trying to improve on what you did with the last kit. Just another thought, I'm not sure about everyone else but I would be willing to pay more for a higher quality kit. I'm not saying that this years were bad but I got a Hincappe kit from Lifetime for the Leadville 100 and their quality is awesome.

  8. Aaron Alto Said,

I like the design, but don't like white; it doesn't stay clean looking very long. Love the MN image and gravel country. Looking fwd to hitting your event next spring.

  9. I am all in for the newest one- I think that it's perfect on a few levels.

  10. Dave Bucklin Said,

I like the Paul Bunyan jersey. I'm not crazy about the typeface on the front. Is that FPO?

I agree with Aaron about white jerseys. Pit stains, man.

  11. Kit Cischke Said,

You'd have to be careful about black checkered sleeves, or you'd look too much like this. Not that taking design cues from Twin Six is a bad thing...

  12. brian Said,

Deeper red, white MN outline, lumberjack checked. Way better than the 1st option. Wool blend?

  13. Anonymous Said,

Love the plaid!! Very original. The red is nice, but not as original.
Agree with others about the white/pit stain issues. Maybe black with Almanzo in white n front?

  14. Anonymous Said,

pit stains>>>>than overheating in a bike race
