Registration Is Open!

Posted by Chris Skogen On January - 9 - 2012

2012 is here and we are excited to announce that registration for the Almanzo 100 and the Royal 162 has opened. Be sure and get your name on the list by following a few simple instructions. First, get a postcard (we're rather partial to the one over there). Second, fill it out with the correct info (found by clicking the title above). Third (and fourth), get a stamp on the card and drop it in the mail by January 31st. Fifth, wait patiently while we compile all of the data as it comes to us and then check back here to see if your name is on the list (spelled correctly we hope). That's pretty much all there is to it. Oh yeah, we'll announce race day specifics once we figure out how many riders we will have and so on. Keep it real.

A second sample post to see how everything will look and to see how far the body of text will move over toward the photo. I think it's working rather well, I'm just not certain as to the final layout.

Are you interested in seeing a link to your website on this blog? If so, a partnership with Almanzo could be a great thing for your future. By purchasing an ad spot on this site, your enterprise will be seen by more than 5,500 visitors every month with that number continuing to grow larger every day.

Included in the basic price of an ad is a 125 pixel by 125 pixel image (your artwork or ours at no extra charge) with a link to your site. On top of that, we offer a second tiered rate that will include a larger monthly piece that will feature your business in the main news column of the site in addition to mentions on Twitter, Facebook and eventually Google +. With the second tier selection, your organization will also have the option to have a tent space at the annual running of the Almanzo 100 in May of each year. All rates are payable via Paypal.

Here at Almanzo we have been systematically searching for ways to help fund the gravel road cycling movement that has swept the country. In Minnesota alone there are seven free gravel road cycling events, with the Almanzo being the largest of them all. That said, these events aren't exactly free. Ourselves and the honorable others (some that are contributing to this site) have tirelessly devoted their own time and money, over the course of the last five years, to build the Midwestern cycling scene into what it is today. With your contribution to our efforts, you will not only increase visibility to your undertaking and ultimately your bottom line, but you will also rest assured that together we will continue to build one of the most awe-inspiring cycling communities in the Nation.

For more information regarding pricing for each of these two packages, please email us with your interests. For a breakdown of how your ads will look please see the images below.
